The Future of the International Monetary System

This seminar explores contemporary debates on the future of the international monetary and financial system drawing on both historical and recent experiences. The course will cover the Great Depression of the 1930s, the Great Inflation of the 1970s, the Great Recession of the early 21st century, and go to explore dollar dominance and the future of global currency system.
